The White Spot (Hadena albimacula) is a species of moth in the Noctuidae family.

Description[]

This species is a medium-sized moth, and is similar in size, shape and colouration to the Coronet. Usually a purple-brown, this species has the kidney and oval mark chalky white, as well as the surrounding area of the forewing. The thorax also has patches of chalky-white on them. This species flies in Summer.

Range[]

This species is classed as a Red Data Book species, and is known from known from few sites. Sites include White Nothe in Dorset.

Larvae[]

Feeds mostly on Nottingham Catchfly in the wild, but also known from other similar plants like the Sea Campion.
