The Union Rustic (Eremobina pabulatricula) is a species of moth in the Noctuidae family.

Appearance[]

Similar in size and shape to the Double Lobed, this species has a thick white band on the outer edge of the forewing, a chalky white crossline, a w-shaped mark near the thorax, and a small, white-rimmed kidney mark. The forewing also has some dark patterning. This species flies from July till the end of summer.

Larvae[]

This species feeds on various grasses, and the larvae can be seen from Autumn till early Summer.

Status[]

Now extinct in Britain, this species was once found in several counties, one of the most populated was Yorkshire, but was last record in Britain in 1935 in Hertfordshire.
