The Surreptitious Palm-borer (Paysandisia archon) is a large moth in the Castiidae family.

This large moth, originating from South America, has been imported to Britain from imported plants. This species has brown forewings, which have a pale marking, and darker shading. The hindwing is colourful, bring red, with a black bar containing white dots. First recorded in Britain in 2002, when one was flying in a garden in West Sussex. Since there have been several records from imported palms in Kent and London. This species is now established in Europe, and any trees hosting the larvea in Britain have been destroyed to stop this species becoming established in Britain, though it might come over from continental Europe.
