The Steller's Eider (Polysticta stelleri) is a species of duck which breed in the Arctic tundra. A rare vagrant to Britain, this species is similar to the Eider (Somateria mollissima). Distinguished from the Eider by the plumage, the male Steller's Eider has a black eye ring, a black neck band and chin, and a greyish head. The breast is salmon-pink and the chest is light yellow. It has a black tail and black and white wings.

Females are much darker than eider females and have white wing bars.

It has a length of 42-48cm and a wingspan of 68-77cm.
