The Square-spot Dart (Euxoa obelisca ssp. grisea) is a species of moth in the Noctuidae family.

Description[]

This species is similar to the White-line Dart and Garden Dart. The oval and kidney mark are usually a chalk-white, often with black surrounding them. The "shoulder-bars" are sometimes chalk-white, and the dagger mark is often dark. The moth is mostly a dark brown.

Range[]

This species is classed as a Nationally Scarce b species in Britain, and inhabits coasts around most of Britain, but absent from the east. Sometimes found inland.

Larvae[]

The larvae feed on a range of plants, including Lady's Bedstraw.
