The Silvery Pout (Gadiculus argenteus) can grow to 15cm.

Identification[]

Typical Gadide body plan, although it has no chin barbel, and the eyes are large. Dorsal fins closely spaced, with the first anal fin base being short.

Habitat:[]

Offshore pelagic fish.

Range[]

Only really seen in the Northern part of U.K. waters, although it's range extends northwards to Norway, and south to the Mediterranean, via the western side of Ireland.
