The Saw-scaled Viper (Echis carinatus) is a species of snake native to south Asia.

A rare import to Britain, this species is unlikely to be breeding in Britain, but is an accidental import from Asia. A venomous snake, this species will bite if threatened. Due to the fact they live so close to inhabited areas in Asia, it is no suprise they are one of the most deadly snakes to humans in that area, and that they do get imported.
