Quartz Points - WWC Archives

Quartz is the second-most-abundant mineral in the Earth's continental crust. It has the chemical formula SiO2. There are many different varieties of quartz, several of which are semi-precious gemstones.

Quartz has a hardness of 7 on the Moh's Scale of Hardness. It is mainly clear in colour unless it contains an impurity which can change the colour, much the same way of that in a diamond.
