Pyrausta aurata, hindwing checked to confirm ID - D Shenton

Pyrausta aurata is a species of moth in the Crambidae family. This species is locally common in Britain, but quite scarce in Scotland. This species has several similar species, and is most similar to Pyrausta purpuralis . Both these species have purple and yellow forewings, black and yellow hindwings, and a black thorax.
