The Pillwort (Pilularia globulifera) is a species of fern in the Marsilaeceae family.

This species is very unlike most ferns, in the fact it's leaves are rush-like in appearance, and grow in shallow water. The stem runs along the bottom of a small pond or bog, and the green, needle-like leaves point upwards. This species is found in much of Britain, but is rare, and appears to be declining.
