The Marsh Pug (Eupithecia pygmaeata) is a species of moth in the Geometridae family.

Description[]

This species is a small geometridae, and is not disimilar to other pugs. One of the smaller pugs, this species is a dark grey-blue, with reddish-brown tinge and white spots.

Range[]

This species is classed as Nationally Scarce B, and has a scattered population throughout Britain, but is rare in Ireland. This species inhabits marshes.

Larvae[]

The larvae feed on Field Mouse-ear.
