The Lesser White-toothed Shrew (Crocidura suaveolens) is a tiny shrew found in Europe. Its preferred habitat is scrub and gardens. The population found on the Isles of Scilly, to which it is presumed to have been introduced, forages on beaches, which is unusual behaviour for the species. It feeds on insects, worms, slugs, snails and small mice.
