The Himalayan Balsam (Impatiens balsamifera) is a species
of plant in the Balsaminaceae family.
This species, also know as Impatiens glandulifera, is alien species in Britain, originating from the Himalayas. This species, which is now widely naturalised, is found on bare places, and is often near streams. This species can reach about 2m in height. The flowers are pink-purple.
