Eudonia angustea

Eudonia angustea - D Shenton

Eudonia angustea is a species of moth in the Crambidae family.

This species is local in Britain, inhabiting coastal habitats during Summer and through to Autumn and is often encountered in Spring. This species is quite small, with narrow wings. Larvea feed on mosses. This species is easily attracted to light, and can be abundant where it is found.

"angustea" means narrow, which refers to the wings, as this is one of the easiest of the Scoparia/Eudonia group to ID, being similar only to the rare E. alpina.
