Dainty Damselfly (Coenagrion scitulum) is a blue damselfly of the family Coenagrionidae.

Status and distribution[]

This is a scarce species found mainly in southern Europe, northern Africa and southwest Asia.

Status in Britain[]

The species was formerly recorded as a breeding species in Britain and became locally extinct in the North Sea flood of 1953. It was rediscovered in Kent in 2010.
