Caloptilia rufipennella is a species of moth in the Gracillariidae family.

This species was first discovered in Britain in 1970, and in some places it is now quite common. This species can be seen at any time from August till the next spring. This species is smaller than most similar species, and can be identified by a whitish band on the legs.

The larvae mine the leaves of Acer spp.
