Description[]

This species is a medium sixed noctuid moth, which has brown forewings. The forewings have darker brown crossbands, and a yellow outer band. The hindwings are yellow with brown crossbars.

Habits[]

This species of moth is a day-flying species, and is named for the fact it is often found amongst burnets.

Range & Habitat[]

This species inhabits grasslands, and is widespread in England and Wales, but scarcer further north and in Ireland.
