This species is a meadium sized bird, with grey-brown wings and a buffish throat. The head has a grey nape, and a white-barred grey tail. This species has a grey-black bill.

Yellow-billed Cuckoo, but this has a yellow bill.

Mid-May to July. Builds it's own nest, and lays 2-7 eggs which both sexes brood.
