The Beautiful Marbled (Eublemma purpurina) is a species of moth in the Noctuidae family.

Description[]

A fairly small macro moth, this species is very similar to the Purple Marbled, which is also a rare immigrant, but not quite as rare. The majority of the forewing is a pale cream colour, but the outer edge is a rosy purple colour, and is brighter than the Purple Marbled.

Range[]

First recorded in Britain in 2004, when one was trapped at Portland, Dorset. There have been the odd record since then, but this is still a rare vagrant to Britain. In mainland Europe, this species is local.
