Baikal Teal - Flickr
The Baikal Teal (Anas formosa) is a rare vagrant to Britain. originally from North and East Siberia, this species has been kept by colletcers, so some records might be escapes. Similar to the teal, the male has a green and yellow facial plumage, with a black cape and eyestripe. The body is greyish with brown and white wing feathers in the male, and in the female the pluamge is brown.
