The American Yellow Warbler (Dendroica petechia), or just Yellow Warbler, is a bird in the Parulidae family.
A very rare vagrant to Britain from North America, this species is very similar to several British warblers, such as the Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler, and is probably overlooked. The female is olive-green with a paler yellow chest and eye ring. The males are more bright, with more yellow and less olive. The tail has yellow inner webs.
